Advance Reservation Priority (ARP)
A feature of the Margaritaville Vacation Club program that gives owners priority to request and confirm reservations at their “home” resort(s) in advance of the standard reservation window, as early as 13 to 11 months in advance of check in.
Affiliate Locations
Resorts at which accommodations are made available when individual timeshare owners assign the use rights of their non-Wyndham Vacation Resorts ownership interest to the Margaritaville Vacation Club program.
Associate Locations
Additional non-Wyndham Vacation Resorts developed or managed resorts where occupancy may be available to Margaritaville Vacation Club owners for a limited period of time, seasons, and/or accommodations.
Assigned Use Right
The automatic right of an owner, as set forth in their deed or purchase contract, to occupy a specific suite, a specific suite type, or a Presidential Reserve Suite(s).
Biennial Ownership
Ownership interest in a suite or group of suites that includes the allocation of points with usage in alternate years, either every even year or every odd year. The use rights of the ownership interest are assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Bonus Points
Developer points that are offered to some owners when purchasing a new ownership through Wyndham Vacation Resorts. Bonus Points have up to a 24-month usage period in the Margaritaville Vacation Club program.
Borrowing Points
During the express reservation timeframe, if an owner needs additional points in the Use Year they are planning to travel to complete a reservation, they have the option to borrow points, only from the next available Use Year following the check-in date of the reservation.
Club
A single-site or multi-site timeshare plan developed or offered by or through Wyndham Vacation Resorts or an affiliate, in which club members do not own a deeded interest in the club’s resort properties, and their use rights within the club are denominated in points.
Club Wyndham Access Vacation Ownership Plan
Club Wyndham Access is a timeshare plan in which certain inventory at multiple resorts is deeded fee simple, without financial encumbrances to First American Trust, a Federal Savings Bank, as trustee for the PTVO Owners Association, Inc. ("Association"), the property owners association for Club Wyndham Access owners. The Association is the beneficiary of the trust.
Club Wyndham Assessment
The fee members pay to Club Wyndham for the operation of the program (“Program Fee”) as well as to cover the expenses related to the use rights assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust, including the maintenance fees assessed by the Home Owners’ Association of the “home” resort (“HOA Fee”).
Club Wyndham Select
A designation within Club Wyndham identifying owners who own a converted fixed interval week, a float/flex interval or a UDI interest in a single “select” resort which is their “home” resort.
Club Wyndham Resort Collection
The resorts and hotels that are available directly through Club Wyndham using Margaritaville Vacation Club points. The Club Wyndham resort collection does not include resorts or hotels that may be available using external programs including Plus Partners®, Worldwide External Exchanges, Adventures, etc.
FairShare Vacation Owners Association
The nonprofit corporation made up of all members of the FairShare Vacation Plan.
FairShare Vacation Plan Trust
The trust to which the members assign their use rights for ownership interests. Also referred to as the FairShare Vacation Plan, Vacation Plan, Vacation Program and/or Club Wyndham.
Fixed Interval Week
Ownership interest in a specific suite at a resort that includes the right to use accommodations during a specific seven-day period each year. The use rights of the ownership interest are assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Fixed/Float Week Conversion
The assignment of a fixed or float interval week to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust.
Float/Flex Interval Week
Ownership interest in a specific suite at a resort that includes the right to use accommodations during a specific seven-day period each year. The use rights of the ownership interest are assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Guest Confirmation
A confirmation that is issued when a Margaritaville Vacation Club owner allows a guest to occupy their reserved suite accommodations. Guest confirmations are required for each suite the owner(s) of record is not occupying.
"Home" Resort – Margaritaville Vacation Club Owners
Thinking this should say: “Those resorts which are part of the Margaritaville Vacation Ownership Plan to the extent of the interests owned by Margaritaville Vacation Club in each resort.”
“Home” Resort – Club Wyndham Presidential Reserve Members
Those designated Presidential Reserve Suites® at the resort in which the Presidential Reserve Member has an ownership interest.
Housekeeping Credits
Credits provided to each owner based on the number of points owned, to exchange for the housekeeping of the resorts. You’ll receive 1 Housekeeping Credit per 70,000 points annually at the start of your Use Year. One housekeeping credit is required for each reservation.
Lockoff Suite
A suite that can be divided into two separate sides and can be used as a larger single or as two smaller and separate suites.
Maintenance Fee/Home Owners’ Association Fee
The annual fee and/or assessment paid to the timeshare home owners’ association for the operational costs of ownership interests who have assigned their use rights to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust.
Margaritaville Vacation Club® by Wyndham
Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham is a specific interest multi-site timeshare plan where resort properties are deeded to, and held in, a trust for the benefit of Margaritaville Vacation Owners Association (“MVOA”), the owners association for Margaritaville Vacation Club. Owners become members of MVOA with a perpetual right to use Margaritaville Vacation Club resort properties. Margaritaville Vacation Club is affiliated with the Club Wyndham program and offers Margaritaville Vacation Club owners access to the benefits associated with membership in Club Wyndham.
Margaritaville Vacation Club Points
The symbolic unit of measure allocated to an owner in connection with the use rights in an owner’s ownership interest, which has been assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust. Points have no intrinsic value separate and apart from the ownership interest. Points are used to establish value for seasons, suite size, and resort locations.
Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve ("Presidential Reserve")
A level of membership within Margaritaville Vacation Club for owners who have purchased and continue to own within one contract (i) an undivided ownership interest in a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) at an individual resort; or (ii) Presidential Reserve points in a club that owns an undivided ownership interest in, or an assigned use right to occupy, a Presidential Reserve Suite(s); or (iii) an undivided ownership interest at a Presidential Reserve resort with an assigned use right to occupy a Presidential Reserve Suite(s). A minimum allocation of at least (a) 1 million Margaritaville Vacation Club points in a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) or in an undivided ownership interest at a Presidential Reserve resort with an assigned use right to occupy a Presidential Reserve Suite(s); or (b) 1 million Presidential Reserve points in a club that owns an undivided ownership interest in, or an assigned use right to occupy, a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) is required to be held at all times for membership in Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve. Only points purchased directly from Wyndham Vacation Resorts, its affiliates or as otherwise established by Wyndham Vacation Resorts, or a Presidential Reserve ownership interest acquired from an immediate relative are eligible to be counted toward full Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve benefits.
Member
Someone who becomes a Club Wyndham participant as a result of the use rights of their ownership interest being assigned to the Club Wyndham Plus program.
Nightly Suite Limit
During the standard and express reservation timeframes, no more than 10 suites may be confirmed per resort per night. For locations with less than 50 suites, no more than 20% of the total suites in the club may be reserved.
Non-Wyndham Vacation Resorts Managed Association/Suites
A home owners’ association/suite that is not managed by Wyndham Vacation Management, Inc. or an affiliate.
Normalized Calendar
All time-sensitive transactions are based on a 30-day month, regardless of the actual amount of days in a particular month.
Ownership Interest
An interest in (i) a fixed or floating timeshare interval, (ii) an undivided timeshare interest, (iii) an estate for years, (iv) a leasehold/membership or “right to use” interest or (v) other interests which may be accepted into the Vacation Plan.
Personal Interval Choice (PIC) Express
A program feature that provides eligible Margaritaville Vacation Club owners the opportunity to enroll non-Wyndham Qualified Week(s) toward their VIP by Wyndham status for five years.
Personal Interval Choice (PIC) Plus
A program feature that allows Margaritaville Vacation Club owners to enroll non-Wyndham qualified timeshare weeks affiliated with RCI in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
PIC Plus Points
Points that are allocated to an owner’s account when the owner requests an exchange of their non- Margaritaville Vacation Club week for Margaritaville Vacation Club points when participating in the PIC Plus program.
Plan Manager
The administrative manager of the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust (Wyndham Vacation Resorts).
PlusPartners
A benefit offered to Margaritaville Vacation Club owners that allows the member to use their points to book airline tickets, hotel accommodations within the Wyndham family of hotels and resorts, car rentals, cruises, and theme park tickets when staying in Orlando.
Points Conversion to Maintenance Fees
Allows owners to convert Margaritaville Vacation Club points to maintenance dollars, which are then applied toward assessment fees.
Point Saver
Reduced point cost for suites with an obstructed view.
Points Deposit Feature
A feature that allows owners to place all or a portion of their current Use Year points into a future Use Year for use at Margaritaville Vacation Club and Club Wyndham resort locations during the standard and express reservation windows.
Presidential Reserve Points
The symbolic unit of measure allocated to an owner in connection with their purchase of an ownership interest in a club that owns an ownership interest in a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) or has an assigned use right to occupy a Presidential Reserve Suite(s). Presidential Reserve points are only issued to owners having an ownership interest in a club. Owners with a deeded ownership interest in a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) or an assigned use right to occupy a Presidential Reserve Suite(s) are issued Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Presidential Reserve Resort
A Margaritaville Vacation Club or Club Wyndham resort that includes Presidential Reserve Suites.
Presidential Reserve Suite®
A designated Presidential suite that is part of the Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve program.
Property Owners’ Association (POA)/Home Owners’ Association (HOA)
The “home” resort condominium, townhouse or timeshare association in which an owner belongs.
Reciprocal Advance Reservation Priority
A benefit for owners with an assigned RARP certificate allowing them the ability to request a reservation outside their “home” resort at another eligible Club Wyndham resort up to 1 (one) month before it becomes available during the standard reservation timeline. Eligible reciprocal resorts include non-Club Wyndham Presidential Reserve Suites at resort locations.
Reservation Timeline
The timeframe in which a particular reservation type can be made within the Margaritaville Vacation Club program.
Reservation Transaction
Members are awarded 1 (one) Reservation Transaction for every 77,000 points they own every calendar year (January 1), regardless of the member's Use Year. A Reservation Transaction is required for the following activity within the Margaritaville Vacation Club program: booking a resort reservation, booking a Wyndham Club Pass reservation, completing a PlusPartners transaction, depositing points into RCI, conversion of points to maintenance dollars, Adventures club reservations, and Land and Sea cruise reservations.
Season
The time division into which the use days at each resort location or association are divided by demand into prime, high, value, and quiet seasons.
Standard Reservations
Reservations that may be confirmed from 10 to three months in advance of the desired check-in date.
Suite Type
The size, configuration, sleeping capacity, style and other features of suite accommodations.
The Registry Collection
An exclusive exchange benefit for Margaritaville Vacation Club Presidential Reserve Members that is offered in addition to membership in the Worldwide External Exchange company that is part of their Margaritaville Vacation Club ownership.
Undivided Interest Ownership (UDI)
Ownership interest in a suite or group of suites at a “home” resort that includes the right to use accommodations. The use rights of the ownership interest are assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Use Rights
The rights an owner has to use, occupy and possess a suite accommodation, which are assigned to the FairShare Vacation Plan Trust in exchange for Margaritaville Vacation Club points.
Use Year
The 12-month period during which an owner may travel on vacation using their point allocation.
Use Year End Date
The last day of the Use Year assigned by the plan manager. The unused points and housekeeping credits allocated to an owner expire each year.
Use Year Start Date
The first date that an owner may travel during the 12-month Use Year.
VIP by Wyndham Reciprocal Priority Reservation
A benefit that is afforded to all VIP by Wyndham tiers, which allows owners to request a reservation outside their “home” resort at another eligible resort up to 1 (one) month before it becomes available during the standard reservation timeline. Eligible reciprocal resorts include non-Club Wyndham Presidential Reserve Suites at resort locations.
Wyndham Club Pass®
An internal exchange program operated by Wyndham Club Pass and available to Margaritaville Vacation Club owners which provides access to additional resorts using eligible Club Wyndham points.
Wyndham Rewards®
The world’s largest hotel loyalty program. Members can earn Wyndham Rewards points which can be redeemed for free hotel stays, car rentals, gift cards, maintenance fee credits, external exchange fees, and Vacation Sidekick membership fees.
